C Drive write protect error

  1933 11:19 25 Nov 04

First thing this morning PC was working OK. After closing down and starting up again I now get a Write Protect Error Drive C (not on this machine) and cannot get the PC to run. Going into DOS I can get a directory of the drive and even Windows and the other, partition D. Any suggestions would be most welcome. MKany thanks Dave.

In addition to my earlier question about C Drive write error I have found that immediately on switching on I have a few seconds of a graphic of a cat and dog with the caption "Gigabyte is hailing you - Gigabyte Technology. In five years using this machine I have never seen anything like it before. Is this some form of virus that has denied me access to the drive - or has anyone an explanation of this screen. Thanks Dave
