c drive access denied

Whenever I start upmy computer I get a warning which tells me that Norton AV is denied access to the c drive. I can do virus sweeps on the drive and it seems to be working ok. Nortons website is next to useless for troubleshooting or help. I'm using Norton AV 2002.
Anybody got ideads on what is causing this or how I can stop it.

First thing I'd try is uninstall Norton, then (if you really want to keep it) reinstall it. This is only useful if you have the disk of course. if it's a pre-installed copy, the only way to do it is use the restore disk.

You could try the link in Add / Remove Programs. There may be an option to repair the installation of NAV.

the problem is if you have SP2 installed this could cause a few problems try running live update it may help
