Byte Swap Flag-whats this mean?

  dagwoood 22:24 15 Sep 04

I have a Motorola surfboard cable modem and I noticed there's an option to change the value for the byte swap flag.

The value is currently set at 0, but I wandered what does Byte Swap Flag mean/refer to?

There isn't a problem with my connection, I'm just curious. Have done a Google but couldn't find anything that explained what it meant or what the value refered to.

Cheers, dagwoood.

do a search on yahoo quite a few listings, technical stuff though.

Thanks for that. I've spent the last 20 minutes working through the some of the results the search came up with.

As you say, most of it is really technical but I still haven't come across a straight forward explanation.

Thanks again, I'll keep looking, dagwoood.
