buzzing speakers

after about half an hour speakers start to buzz.
when pc switched off they still buzz,
when speakers switched off they still buzz, only way to stop it is to unplug speakers from mains.
should I dump and get new set? any recomendations, like to listen to music and video clips.

Have you located these near to your monitor or other electrical field. Move them to a new location, and if this doesn't help,check the cabling and plug set-up [plug in wrong socket etc],if that fails buy a replacement set, they are cheap enough nowadays.

Buzzing caused by transformer in speakers sounds like they are on the way out.

Type and Quality of speakers depends on what you use them for, DVD, 3d Surrond gameing, music editing or general use. Plus buget of course you can pay anything from £5 upwards for speakers.

took speaker apart, buzz coming from transformer. time for new set. thanks everyone
