buzzing noise

I have recently experienced problems with spyware viruses and although i appear to have solved them with Microsoft's free download of 'Antispyware', everytime Windows XP is booted there is this constant buzzing sound coming from my computer. The sound does not occur on the primary boot of the pc but only when windows appears. It is for this reason why i think the two are related.

I have opened up the pc and the noise is not coming from any fans and not the hard drive. I don't know if this possible but it seems to be coming from the motherboard itself.

I have recently built the pc.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what this noise might be.

Many thanks

Could it be a loose heatsink or the transformer in the power supply?

It could also be a sounder, if you've got a PCI modem, try unplugging it, also could be the motherboard speaker, try unplugging it.
