After being unable to resolve the hanging problem on my pc I am reluctantly buying a new one.

The spec I want is: Core 2 quad - 500gb HD - 2GB RAM and 256 graphics.

I have seen 2 options

1. PC world Packard Bell £630
2. Medion Tesco £579, but case seems very platicky!

Any other advise on models/spec appreciated

I use it for photo editing mainly using CS2 and processing multple RAW files.

Many thanks

Ian

the medion looks ok. the quad core is more efficient than the p4 plus it overclocks to above 3g if you want.

As I use a Medion I would not hesitate to buy another...very good value for the price.

ps I would also look at Dell, esp. this one that comes with a 20" screen and would be ideal for your use at £499....click here
