Buying a new laptop

  DH2007 10:14 02 Mar 07

Hi all,

I'm going to get a new laptop but I don't want to spend a great deal. Does anyone have any recommendations in particular? I'm looking to spend about £470 maximum and I want to get something with a decent graphics card, fair bit of RAM (1024mb), HD space and to use windows.

Also, bonus points are gained if its silver :)

Many thanks for any help at all!!

Hope your all having a good day.

At that price my usual recommendation is to look at Acers but also spend the money on the 3 year warranty which, with Acer, is both comprehensive and good value.

At that price you won't get much in the way of a "decent" graphics card or battery life. You will, however get a competent computer for general purpose use.
