buying a laptop

i am looking for a laptop with at least the following specs:
900mhz cpu
128mb RAM
10gb HDD
cd/rw,DVD-ROM
10/100 LAN (not WIFI, WLAN)

with warranty, because the person who i am giving it to doesnt know much about computers, and new (doesnt matter if from abroad)

total cost to be about max £400 £450

i dont know if i can spend anymore than that because it just has top have the basics i got OS and things for it mainly needs to be OKish speed and must have LAN on it, i can upgrade the RAM and HDD if need be, but needed soon

First: a Warrentry offers no help. So an individuals, knowledge or lack of it is more or less irrelevant.

Secondly: Your price is low-end, but should get you a second hand job. There will be new ones out there at that price, but they may not reach your specs.
