I want to buy an external hard drive for my dell 8300 pc. I have several spare usb 2.0 ports on my pc but wondered if a externally powered one would be better, are they easy to install as my daughter has an ipod and "my music folder" on my 80gig hard drive is filling up, she says if I delete the files in "my music" she loses the downloads of off her ipod, Any recommendations for external hard drives models would be appreciated
many thanks

Hi, very easy to install, USB just plug and play usually. I bought the 320Gb Seagate from PCW some time before Christmas for just under £80. Shop around, there are plenty this size available and you may even get it cheaper.

Cheers
