Burning Movies To DVD

I now have a DVD writer, the latest 1 click copy dvd software and dvd43 installed ready to copy my first dvd.

Someone from an earlier posting suggested that I burn at one speed lower than my writers maximum burn speed capability for better results.

Is this correct, and can anyone else verify this.

Also, what difference in burning time would this make.

Thank you.

the speed will have no effect on the quality of the disc. Other than it will either work or not. One way it increase the recording speed is to cut back on other processes running at the same time, in effect reducing the machines workload so more memory and processing power/time is available for burning.
