Please tell me if it is possible to burn DVDs on a PC fitted with Windows XP (home edition)

I don't think XP Home supports burning to DVD's,only CD's.

You require DVD burning software like NERO or Roxio,or free versions like deep burner

You can burn to CDRs and DVDRs with Windows XP as long as both your dvd-drive and burning program support these formats.

If you only have a CDRW drive you cannot burn to DVDR discs on it.

Deepburner free edition will burn to DVDRs.

The built-in Windows XP disc burning facility only supports CDRs and it's rubbish anyway so don't ever use it.

Excellent free comprehensive burning program I use it in preference to Nero now.
