Burning CDs

  Hercules02 21:00 18 Nov 08

Hi there
I was reading a response to a reader in the latest PCA where the CDR and CDRW were explained. I use CDRW disks
The writer said that its possible to burn extra data to a CD until its full. I have Nero Express and whenever Ive tried to do this, what was already there is lost, even if there is plenty of space available on the CD. Is it not possible, or am I doing something wrong?

you need to use the multi-session format...

I regularly use multisession with Nero6 to make the most of CD/DVD -R disks' capacity.

The essential point is to ensure that, after each multisession, you Save the latest addition(s); if you don't, then there can be problems, including not being able to use some or all of the files already on the disk.

You can still use an unfinished multisession disk for transferring files etc.

In Nero you have to choose not to close the disc when you burn files to it

PS the Word in NERO is Finalize for Close
