i would like to burn some avi files of a TV show to DVD but they take up a lot of space on the DVD so i can barely get 2 edpisodes on the DVD. Is there a better file type to use that takes up less space without having to compromise too much on audio and visual quality? It would be nice to fit maybe 4-6 episodes on a 4.5 gig blank DVD...

thanks guys...

Convert to mpeg2 this will result in a much smaller file with little loss of quality.

Most of the S/W is NOT free, but trial only. Surely there are some real free S/W available. Thanks David

I never said it was free, I merely did a Google search and provided a link to it
