Hey peeps, if i have a total avi file of 700 mb, how can i burn it to the dvd with the best quality

i say this becuase a standard dvd is 4.7gb, it seems a little wastefull to just burn the 700mb on to it doesnt it, can i improve the quality so it takes up more rrom,

i have nero 8

I would say no what you have is what you got
Most burners will fit to disc if told then the file will be burnt at the maximum bit rate .Bearing in mind avi is not a format and for dvd will be changed to Mpeg 2/ unless you are just burning as is

If you do not want to waste a dvd disc why not use vcd format and burn it to cd

If you have Nero on your PC then Nero Vision will convert the AVI file to a DVD format and fit it to a dvd.

Alternatively if you don't have Nero DVD Flick will do the same job

It can either burn directly to a DVD or create and ISO image or do both if you want it to.
