bulkpaq orange dvd disks

We have just bought a dvd writer and a pack of these discs...anyone used them before as there appears to be a 2 gig file on each disc, rendering them unusable!
Will this be a bad batch or is it a common fault?

Well, that's different! What are the files?

It is a fact that some DVD writers are happier with one brand of disk than another but I've never heard of your particular problem before.

My suggestion would be to take them back to where they were bought and see if they have an answer. Alternatively, try them on someone else's machine and see what happens.
