Hello there,

My mothers computer has been crashing recently at a very high frequency. I have no idea what could be going wrong and my research online has not led me anywhere helpful as of yet.

The error message I get is the following:

0X000000FE (0X00000002, 0X81617E48, 0X81F4D140, 0X823037F0).

Could someone PLEASE help me as my mum is threatening to take the computer to an airport to have it strategically blown up, which is not very helpful to anyone.

Hi Belatucadrus, thanks for the quick response!

I went to the microsoft website and saw that the above update is included in the XP service pack2. I went to download it but was told that it was already installed.

Do I need to do something to start the fix?

Thanks for your help

Not sure, if you've got SP2 all I can suggest is check for driver updates for any USB peripherals.
