Bugbear. Another Virus Hoax??

  conway 17:51 12 Apr 03

There is an email doing the rounds about a Bugbear virus. It tells you to delete the following file. jdbgmgr.exe to get rid of it!

I am aware that there is a virus called w32bugbear.mm but the above is not the way to remove it.
Does anyone know about this, and what does file jdbgmgr.exe actually do? I have 2 copies, 1 in folder I386 and another in the windows/system folder. Both were last modified in 2000 which suggests they have nothing to do with this. I have a feeling that deleting them is not the thing to do!
Any one out there know about this please??

Delete the email.

It's a hoax - as a quick search on this site will give you more details.

Hi, This has been doing the rounds for about 18 months now. The best thing to do is totally ignore it and dont post anything about viruses.
