My grandkids are in revolt because - just having BT Broadband Basic as their ISP seems to have thrown their system. They say the BT Connect button only appears on the Administrators desktop and not theirs! I can't understand this because we have two users - my wife & I - and the BT Connect dialler appears on both desktops in our case so why doesn't it happen on theirs. Anyone any recommendations please

Do they have an Admin account, or a Limited account?
Log in to the Admin account and copy the icon across to \Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop\.
You may need to unhide system folders temporarily in Control Panel/Folder Options.

The dot after `Desktop\` is punctuation, not a folder

Thanks for your response Splork I'll try your recommended solution.
