With the current spate of viruses, coming in all forms and under different disguises, we are all subject to viscious attacks.
For those previleged to use BT-YahooBB, is it a lot safer to use this browser? Will this give added (another layer) protection?

Safer to use what browser?

If IE is updated, it is pretty safe; some say Mozilla or Firebird (from Mozilla) are safer. Certainly they seem faster.

BT use the Symantec scanning engine to check e-mails so they should pick up anything before it gets into anyone's mail box - that is for those with a BT e-mail account and who have opted for the free service. But remember that an anti-virus programme, kept up to date, is still needed for Internet browsing.

I assume that if you keep your own Anti virus and Firewall programs, and browse with BT-YahooBroadBand browser, and use their mail services, you should have a double layered protection. It should stop "MYDoom" and any such baddies, should it not?
