working fine.
Can anyone help me to make it secure network so that hacknig from the outside the house would be impossicle?

Sorry about the mistake - it is BT Voyager 2100 and not 22100.

Type in your browser 192.168.1.1

Click security and follow the prompts to set up wpa encryption

Postie24's advice is correct , but make sure your wireless adapter can also handle WPA as well , don't bother turning the SSID off , it makes no difference but can affect connectivity , just rename it so no-one knows what make router it is .

Hello Ashley and Postie24, thank you very much
for the help.
A friend has BT Voyager 2110 wireless router.
Can you please state for encryption procedure for 2110 ? Regarding WPA and SSID what are the best
course to take.

If your adapter supports it , then for encryption use WPA , much safer than WEP , WEP is a static encryption , WPA changes every so often so it can't be packet sniffed . As long as you change the SSID from default ( Voyager ???? ) to something that will identify it to you , don't bother hiding it ( there will be an option to do so ) as it does nothing for security but can cause connection difficulties .
