I'm sure that someone out there is using BT Openworld for E Mail's.When I attempt to open attachments a 'File Download' window opens giving me two options,

1.'Open this File'.
2. 'Save this File'.

Knowing that the attachment is from a safe source I want to open it immediately. If I attempt to do this, the system won't let me and I am returned to the 'Save File' option.

Can this be due to a 'Security' setting.?

Thanks in anticipation.Greg Askey

Is this webmail or is it being dragged in by outlook express? If the latter then Start Outlook Express.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click the Security tab, click to clear the Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus check box under Virus Protection, and then click OK.

Chris

This isn't on my computer,I use 'Freeserve' as an ISP, but I suspect 'Openworld'is using 'Outlook Express' but as you probably realise better than I do, it doesn't show in the same way as it does with say 'Freeserve'.

I won't be able to say one way or the other tonight, but hopefully later in the week I should be able to confirm.

Thanks for the suggestion and I will let you know, when I have aresult.

Greg.
