BT line, is it up to Broadband?

Hi guys

This is not strictly a PC problem but I am thinking of changing my main BT socket to a double socket, but I noticed that the original connection has 4 wires coloured green, black, orange and white but no coloured stripes; only the orange and white were connected to the socket with the others tucked behind. Does anyone know how these colours match to what’s listed in the Collins DIY manual and most telephone extension kits? I am thinking of having broadband, will it work with this set up? My house is over 20 years old.

Thanks in anticipation
