BT Internet

A friend has just gone onto BT Internet and cannot get the emails working. He has no trouble with accessing the Internet (although it is incredibly slow, even for dial-up).
He has tried using the Outlook Express setup wizard on the BT Openworld site, but this has not made any difference. His settings show as [email protected] for both incoming and outgoing mail.
Whenever trying to Send/Receive he simply gets an error message ending in:
Port110, Secure (SSL) No, Socket Error 11001, Error No 0x800ccc0d.
Having wasted time on the BT helpline (in Bangalore?!) has anyone any ideas please?

Hi Acolyte,

Ok lol, well maybe then the ports are set wrong my out going is set to 25 and incoming 110 it also may be that if he has any AV software that checks his emails this to may need setting up as they somtimes use different ports to the default ones.
