Please help im so new to this tekkie stuff. i have just got a bt hub but i cant connect it to my laptop. i rang the help line and after about 30 minutes of help it still doent work. the lady on the line said something about my address starting with 162, but it should start with 192?
she also said i need to reset it in my laptop?

please help!

Stick around here, but post this in the networking forum.

On the Hub there is a reset switch, press and hold it for 10 secs. If this does not work reinstall it following the instructions to the letter...

What operating system are you using? If its XP go to services (right click my computer and selcet manage, then double click on services) and scroll down to wirekess zero configuration. Set it to automatic start up (right click on it and select properties then change the startup type to automatic).
Reboot - there should now be an icon in the taskbar (near the clock) that looks like a computer monitor right click on it and there should be an option to view available networks - hopefully it should find tour hub, then click connect.
This all presumes that the laptop is setup correctly.
