BT Homehub 2 causing connection problems?

Hi, My friend has a vista laptop and is having problems attempting to connect to his BT Homehub router2. One laptop is connected to it via an ethernet cable and his girlfriend is connected to it wirelessly with her phone but his laptop keeps saying 'limited connectivity' etc. This laptop connected to my router just fine last week.

Also, he has commented that in the past he has had his conection drop when his home phone has rang/rung. Does this point towards a router problem, please?

That would point to lack of a Filter or a faulty Filter on the phone line.

That is most likely, first try with new filters on phone line and see if problem still occurs.
