BT Broadband useage indicator - accurate???

  compumac 22:49 09 Mar 11

Currently with NT Broadband and have their Broadband daily usage indicator. This I downloaded as BT had advised me on two separate occasions that I was approaching the limit for the month. Does anyone else use this as I found that on Monday I updated ALL updateable programmes on four PC's and the following day the usage indicator showed there had been no change to the amount used from the day before?

Have only recently downloaded and using but so far it appears to be okay.

Yesterday I downloaded all of the Microsoft updates onto one PC, yet this morning on accessing the BT Broadband usage for yesterday it show exactly the same usage for the month as it was yesterday morning. i.e. no Wednesday usage!!

IT is BT Broadband NOT NT!!! Typo...

I haven't used/looked at it much since installing but will keep an eye on the "stats" to see what changes. It may be something in the "options" - I haven't looked fully into those yet.

compumac - it is working okay for me - "stats" shows download so far today gone from 13.6 to 16.2 - even just downloading/opening a few emails makes it alter.

I accessed my account at 08:00 this morning and it showed usage upadate as at 23:59 as on the 9th Feb as being 1.18GB. I have just accessed the account at 15:00 today and it shows usage as at 23:59 on the 9th Feb as being 1.33GB!!!
So at the same time I have used 1.18 GB and also 1.33GB up until 23:59 last night???????

Ref your earlier posting "compumac - it is working okay for me - stats shows download so far today gone from 13.6 to 16.2 - even just downloading/opening a few emails makes it alter."
My version only indicates usage for the month upto the previous evening,Do you have a different indicator?

Realise now that you are using the ThinkBroadband tester as opposed to the BT's own daily usage monitor. I used to use Thinkbroadband usage monitor but it did not always tie up with BT's informed//advised usage.
