BT Broadband and Norton Internet Security

I have BT Broadband and Norton Internet Security is bundled in with this.
Having just spent 4 days wrestling with a virus NIS let in, I'd like to change to Zone Alarm Security Suite.

First of all, would you computer experts consider this a wise move.

Secondly, how do I remove NIS? It isn't listed in the ADD/Remove programmes facility and nor is it listed in the programmes listed at Windows Start.

Anybody else got BT Broadband and experienced this problem?

You'll find it under BT Yahoo Applications in add/remove just click it and open up the security section and you can choose what to delete. I've had no problems at all with NIS from there

Have you got Autoprotect enabled, this shoud prevent virus contamination. Been using NIS for years without penetration, (famous last words)

Yes. Autoprotect is enabled but a real nasty got through.

Not only did it uninstall lots of Windows services, but it dameged NIS as well.

There are supporters in all camps when it comes to security suites. My own experience was not good with Norton products but others love the software.

In the end I moved to zonealarm and I have found it to be excellent. It seems I am not alone. click here
