BT Broadband IP address change

  rodriguez 11:47 14 Jul 06

I noticed yesterday that BT changed my IP address to one that started with 217 when normally it starts with 86. Since it made this change, I could use MSN and other programs such as Bitlord but web pages would not load. It was as if the router was blocking port 80 and not letting web traffic through (FTP also worked so it was just web traffic). At first I thought it was a fault in my router's firewall but when i switched it back on this morning it changed back to an 86 IP address and it now works fine. Anyone else had this problem with BT?
