BT broadband causing shutdown?

  smamit 12:26 01 Aug 04

Following a clean install of Windows Xp home addition on a friends computer,we loaded the drivers etc for BT Broadband. As soon as a successful connection was made Windows informs that it must shut down referring to - LSA Shell (Export version) and Windows\ system32\Isass.exe.
Bt advisor suggests this is a virus but how can this be as only influences were WXp installation disk and the BT Broadband installation disk? Help desperately needed please!
