can you connect two computers to one broadband connection.without networking the computers together so each computer has its own ADSL modem and lead to the phone socket with a spliter i know only one computer can use the connection at a time but i do no want to network can any one help me thanks.

You would have to plug in each modem one at a time. If you used a splitter the exchange would see two modems as a fault, and would disable the line.

You can buy an adsl router, which will have two network connections on it. This would be much cheaper than installing another line!

why do you want to aviod networking so badly?
