A relative of mine is about to be connected to BT Broadband soon, though they have Windows 98, BT say you need Windows 98SE and upwards...is it really necessary to upgrade, or is it ok to use Windows 98?

no the info is correct as the connection is likely to be usb and 98 has virtually no usb support.

can I butt in...so there IS a difference between windows 98 and the 98SE ed??? ( which I know may be "stating the obvious", but didnt realise it coul be THAT big a diference)..
