happily working away last night when the above appeared saying 'bug alert usb driver' restart sorted but any ideas?

go to start>control panel>Performance and Maintenance>Administrative Tools>Event viewer and then click on application on left hand side and see what the error is

looking at the log it would appear that pctpspk caused the prob any idears? please.

A quick search seems to point to a speaker bug. [Not a virus] usually associated with a dial up modem of the software type using up memory. If this is the case then try an update of modem driver.
