It seems to be the memory. I ran the built in windows 7 memory tester and it didn't find anything but the memtest 4.0 found many issues. So I reran the windows one and cracked everything to the max and it found errors but didn't give any more info.

So I have pulled one memory stick out and am running the tester again to see what it finds.

well after removing one ram stick and testing, Memtest says both sticks are faulty. And rift carried on crashing with both. So time to pull a ramstick out of my old comp and see what happens.

OK my old ram sticks don't fit. But while playing rift the screen went funny and their was a stream of text instead of graphics. So im guessing its the gfx card that on the way out.
