BSOD after windows update...

Following my post: click here

New updates, safe?

Its totally wrecked 2 out of 5 systems - completly.

BSOD's at regular intervals.

I have uninstalled as many of them as I can and the problem persists - System restore also doesnt seem to solve it.

NEVER has every one of these PC's had a BSOD before.

Why, why why did I download them? Because everywhere on microsofts site it says its urgent and critical. :-(

Anyone else had this?

BSOD is Driver irql not less or equal or something.

i seem to recall reading somewhere that m/soft initiated something like this once in order to root out non genuine systems?

Take a shufty at my thread "Not really a cry for help" My PC has been running great for months, took a look into BIOS yesterday and have spent ALL lastnight trying in vain to get a working win PC.I'm just about to visit Win Updates,no doubt after rebooting this git of a system,it will be another 15 hours before I can get XP loaded again. ;-)

Always seem to break!

  Gaz 25 17:04 21 Jul 04

I seriously can't live with BSOD's.

Even linux corrupted itself today, didn't even shut it down incorrectly. Nor did scan check run - and nor is the HDD smackerooned.
