Browsers freezing up

Both FF and IE7 are continually freezing up and when they do the whole computer stops and even Cnt/alt/dlt does not work. The only solution is to turn the computer off at the 'on' button. This has happened before, but then stopped and it was only on FF. I also have Google Chrome and that seems OK at the moment. Has anybody got any bright ideas?

Run C Cleaner as a first option. Then run an on line scan Here.

have the latest version of Zone Alarm installed?

I will run CC cleaner, although I have cleaned it recently and try Trend Micro. As for Zone Alarm I do not use it, as I have other protection. I will repost when that is done.

Have you tried switching off zone alarm as there has been a problem with the last update patch , it happened to me and i now use a different firewall and all is well .
