is ther really a decent alternative to ie6

and if you do convert does clean up software

(ie the deletion ofinternet files /history you know all the rubbish that comes with going on line)

do the same pacages that work for ie6 work with the alternative browsers,

Firefox is a very good browser and extremely stable albeit it is technically still a beta click here has firefox, its mail partner thunderbird and the mozilla browser


Another option is avant which adds significant upgrades to IE available from click here

FireFox is excellent.. with some really useful plugins.. i.e. Flash click to Play... which stops flash parts of sites from downloading and running unless you click in the flash area.. it really speed things up..

also once you've used a tabbed browser.. any tabbed browser it's extremwly difficult to go back to the IE way of only one page open.
