Broadcom 440x 10/100 causes long boot delay in XP

Hi there,

When I'm booting connected to a wired network, my Latitude D520 (XP SP3) with the above network adaptor takes around 40 seconds to display the taskbar and desktop icons after the desktop picture appears. This doesn't happen when the network lead is unplugged or when I'm connected to a wireless network. When unconnected or wireless, the taskbar and icons take 2-3 seconds to begin appearing. Any thoughts on what might be causing the delay when I'm hooked up to a wired network? Any ideas gratefully received! Broadcom driver is 4.60.0.0 21/11/2006

Thanks - I'll give it a go. The current driver on the machine was on when it was imaged (it's a work one) so I'll give the older one a go. Given I have had previous issues with newer drivers for networking components it's worth a try. Thanks.
