Broadband/popup problem

  Wizla 19:32 14 Mar 03

Since installing broadband yesterday I am inundated with pop ups.One of these called 'private archive' is now on my desktop and I cant delete it. It is for a porn site! I have tried using 'add and remove programs' in control panel but it doesnt show up in there.
Any ideas on how to get rid of this anyone?

If your popups look like those at click here , there are removal instructions about halfway down the right-hand side of the page.

To get rid of what you may have already downloaded, use AdAware from click here

I also recommend Spywareblaster from click here

Thank you so much. I'll give it a go.

It's worked. Thanks again!

I use zone alarm just download it works very well. It may not stop popups but with broadband you must have a firewall and a good virus checker again download avg for free if you do not have anything else.
