Broadband - Usage limit?

  jiggy b 21:40 28 Oct 04

Finally I can get broadband, but how much 'usage allowance' will I need? What is, say, 1gb a month in real terms, how many singles down loaded or how much playing enemy territory online can I expect? Any one point me in the right direction?

Mnay thanks

If you plan on doing a lot of downloading and playing online games 1GB is not nearly enough. You would be better going for as high a download limit that you can afford some ISP`s do not have a limit it is worthwhile shopping around.

I use close to 1Gb on DIALUP a month (approx. 150hrs per month) on general surfing, few emails & a little downloading. In b'band terms that's bound to be a LOT more. In your case I'd say it would be best to go for atleast 8GB+ or an unlimited b'band connection unless someone knows better. G

try click here PAYG ADSL starts at £11.75 Inc Vat. Up to a max price of £23.74 with no cap. no freebies or modem!

First 200MB free after that 0.0025p per 1MB up to the max price limit, after that continue downloading at no extra cost.........

1GB usage would only cost you £14.10 Inc Vat.

I have just checked BT's broadband site and 1GB equates to approximately 250 tracks a month.
