Broadband and Micro-filters

Hi All,

Looks like I'll finally be able to join the Broadband revolution soon!

The question I have is this.

The phone socket to which the ADSL modem will connect does not have a phone on it as the only phone in the house is connected to a socket downstairs.

Does the phone downstairs need to be connected via a micro-filter even though the modem is connected to a socket upstairs?

This phone is a digital cordless DECT type. Is there anything I need to be aware of in this respect?

Many Thanks

Yes, wherever you have a phone connected, you will need a micro filter.

I have a Panasonic digital cordless phone connected via a micro filter, and it works without problem.
