Broadband line activation fee

If I sign up with a broadband ISP, pay through them the BT line activation fee. What happens if I then decide to change provider or that provider goes bust. Does BT get another slice of line activation fee or is it transferable, just using new account details password etc.for second ISP?

You pay each time you signup with a new ISP - this is a BT stipulation.

See click here and click here as examples.

A few isp's offer a migration service but you need to shop around.
