Can I get a USB splitter for my external Broadband modem so I can connect two pc's?
I know you wont be both be able to use the internet at the same time, but it will save haveing both pc's turned on using network cards.

It's unlikely to work. Most BB suppliers inspect the MAC address of each PC, and will only allow you to connect via a single MAC address.

Far better to network them with two network cards and a crossover Ethernet cable.

Which ISP do you use? They may say on their website about how many MAC addresses they allow.
