Has anyone seen or heard of this? click here Claims to give you a near broadband speed on a dialup connection, looks good but not sure if it would actually work!

how can you get near 512kbps out of a 56kbps dial up I think some one is trying to pull the wool over your eye`s but if you have any luck cos I wouldn`t mind paying £15.99 for broadband instead of £27.99

Thats why im asking,it has some reviews from pc mags,at only £1.99 surely theres something not right!

Looks like they just use some kind of (gzip, zip?) compression on their servers when data passes through them. So if a site is already compressed, or you're downloading a file you still won't get above 5k/sec, it's purely for downloading uncompressed images (and modems do compress some stuff anyway, I mean just try downloading a 500k text file over dialup, it goes at about 50k/sec due to compression)

Is it right you pay £24.99 on top of your normal ISP rate, it'd be interesting to find out if it works. Will be watching this space. TR

to run a true broadband service on an ordinary analogue phone line, so anyone who says they can do it has managed to change some of the laws of physics.
