Broadband connection problems(Tiscali)

  jocko 03:27 14 Apr 04

Hi there,
I can't get dial-up networking to recognise a dial tone. I've upgraded USB drivers and motherboard bios.
I'm in Windows98se and the Tiscali helpline is useless by just telling to uninstall and reinstall the modem software. Using the barebone drivers I get a flashing ADSL light on the modem. Could it be an IRQ problem as my computer now is crashing alot? Hope someone can help?

Delete the connection (use regseeker to tidy up the here) and re-install but only connect the modem when you are instructed to on screen (very important). Connect the USB lead from the modem directly to your USB card in the computer and NOT to a USB extension box.
