just about to set up a new small office, and I wanted to a have broadband access and use 1 laptop
If there are no other computers in the office and I get a wireless router does this have to be plugged into the lap top to receive

how do I set up a wireless broadband connection without having to plug into my laptop and not haveing another computer is this possible and what hardware do I need

Most new laptops have built in wireless. You will need a wireless router. The laptop will pick up the signal and you will be connected. Make sure you encrypt it otherwise dodgy people can access your connection.

If it's an older laptop without built in wireless you will need a USB wireless adapter about £17.00 from Amazon.

I would advise wiring the laptop to the router to set up the connection first though then once it's set up unplug the cable.

If you want broadband over a BT line you will need a combined modem/router.
