hi can i get a cable to run from the broadband box that supplys internet to desk top to my laptop to make this internet avalable thanks regards kevin

If it is a router supplied by your ISP then yes but if it is just the modem then no. What ISP do you have and we will be able to help more if you need anything.

If you were to get one of these click here
and take the cable from the modem to it and then run a cable from it to your desktop and one to laptop - sorted.

virgin should provide you with free router if you ask them politley. :)
seems like all you need is a router for wireless connection to your laptop.
