Broadband advice

I am thinking of getting broadband. I used to have a BT telephone line before going over to NTL cable. What I want to know is that can I only go for NTL and AOL broadband because I now have cable, or can I use one of the others which use a BT line and somehow have cable for my telephone and a BT line for broadband internet without having an extra bt line installed. Help would be most appreciated.

you will have to have bt line activated, should be free of charge, then ask S/provider to have adsl put on it, will of course incur quarterly line rental (£30-ish) but if you don't use it for calls thats all.
