Broadband 1 line, 2 modems

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect 2 computers (each having their own modem) to one broadband line? It is a BT broadband connection if that makes any difference.

yes it would be possible, but when you use the phone line at 56k it will reduce your broadband speed and hence it would be point less !! just get a router and both machines will be faster on the broadband

Everyone I now who has tried this has had problems. Get yourself some form of router. Or even better get yourself a router that is combined with a modem so you can leave it running and either pc can connect without the other one being on.
