Bricks and EXCEL?

I want to draw a pattern, of a brick wall (to be built).

Is this possible ?? using EXCEL (Moving rows/columns, alternately).

Because of the bonding of the bricks you will have to use 2 rows per brick.

In A1 right click and choose Format Cells - Patterns and choose a pattern.

In B2 do the same as above but with a different pattern.

Now you can copy and paste A1 into A2, A5 & A6, A9 & A10 etc.

Copy and paste B2 into B3, B6 & B7, B10 & B11 etc.

I've used this method and it's easy to take into account half bricks or pillars etc.

In Word you have a brick wall within your Drawing tool Bar under "Auto Shapes/More AutoShapes"

Thanks, I knew that someone could tell me how to do it. Alan
