On startup bootup screen starts in black and then half screen goes to maroon.Anyone any idea as to what could be the problem, must admit I fear the worst (A new monitor) me thinks.
If it loads into your operating system and then shows no problems, your monitor is OK.Have you had a look in the BIOS to see what type of bootup screen is loaded?.
As above it may be just how the BIOS loads it. if its ok after forget it
alan2273 and woodchipOnce into the system all wording has got a maroonish colour to it instaed of black.
Then it sounds like you have either a Graphics card or Monitor Problem. Easy way to find the one is try the monitor on another computer
woodchipThanks for the info will close this now and try the monitor on another computer
